Some beautiful Mesquite wood furniture and a vase, some with inlaid turquoise! Stunning (and pricey!)
There was some great sculptures and moving art pieces throughout the outdoor areas too.
We went with our new good friends Ken and Joy. While the girls looked at jewelry and such, Ken and I found this refuge:-). Notice the caricature picture: Castro, Dave Letterman, Marilyn Monroe and Arnold Schwarzenegger!
After exhausting shopping we all had drinks at Tubac Jack’s, including this interestingly delicious Smoked Jalapeño Margarita!
Here we are in beautiful downtown Tacna, Az. Sand, cow pasture perfume and train every hour or so! But hey, it’s only $190 per month or $20/night! It’s only one night, then on to the Phoenix area. The adventure rolls on! I’d add pictures/video but really, there’s no need!
Made it to our first stop on our adventure here at Fiddler’s Cove in Coronado. Beautiful spot (just wish it were a bit warmer!) We’ll be here 2 weeks while we prepare for the rest of our journey. Trying to determine where we can go next that’s not so darn cold! As of now I think we’ve decided on Tucson area; same temperatures but on or route towards southeast Texas where (hopefully) it will be warmer!
Santee Lakes is just the beginning of our adventure! From here, as soon as I retire on December 23, 2015. We will begin preparations for the next chapter. We’ll be at the Lakes until January 1st and then on to Fiddler’s Cove in Coronado until Jan 15th to set up our 5th wheel for our one year adventure. We will be visiting Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, if it is not too under water. Then as the north warms we will work our way up towards Colorado for an extended stay near our beautiful grandchildren, Aneka and Reeve. How exciting to be able to stay and visit with them for more than a week at a time! We will also be able to spend time with friends in Creed, Colorado Springs, Denver, Louisville and Sterling. Never before had we had this much quality time to enjoy with family and friends outside of California!
